So I've recently started playing Warframe, and have started getting the random Stalker attacks. Every time he shows up, I pretty much just die within a second or two. I never see him actually attack, since he seems to be perma-invis, so I don't see a way to counter him.Last time he showed up, I switched to melee, sat there blocking, then just crumpled to the ground dead.I think the concept of the Stalker is neat, but having my 650+ shields / 350+ hitpoints vaporized within a two second window by an invisible foe is not really all that fun. I can't really fight something that I can't see, who can kill me pretty much instantly.At this point, I'm just going to ESC- Abort Mission as soon as I get the announcement to speed things up, since there does not seem to be a way to counter him. Literally TWO seconds after my screen stops the disorienting phase I will die. I do not even see him most of the time, unless it is an occasional, brief glimpse, and then I fall over dead. I have no clue if it is a primary attack, secondary attack, or melee attack that is killing me. It is that quick. Does he not scale at all?That is why I cannot fight him, because I cannot learn to counter something that happens nearly instantly, and I cannot see.
Was I meleed? Was I headshot? Was it some power? No clue, but I die so fast I have no chance to learn anything from the encounter.

Thanks.Yeah, to mark him, just aim the reticle at him and press G. It helps to aim a tad below the center I find.
This helps teammates find him especially.Fighting him is possible, the issue most new players have I think is they aren't used to the kind of speed he operates at. He moves like a player would in some respects (he's a little derpy sometimes with elevations, I noticed- try to attack him from above). He's even been known to fall back and try to circle around. More experienced players are accustomed to it; he seems slow to them. Experienced players are also familiar with the abilities he's using; you likely haven't used but one or two of them, so you don't know their limitations. All of them boil down to: keep moving, parkour around, be wary of fighting him up close unless you can stunlock him (not just because of his melee output- he has more abilities that work effectively on you at shorter ranges).If you aren't seeing what he's killing you with, it's probably either his bow (which he's very good with; it deals much damage on a hit) or his Shurikens (which come out of nowhere and also deal 500-1000 damage plus a slash proc).
He can and will spawn where you can't see him, go invisible, step out, and fire these at you. Trying to fight him in an open area to reduce the chances of him spawning where you don't see him. He tends to want to spawn in corners and will appear there briefly in a sitting position before becoming active.He has some weaknesses. He uses old parkour; he doesn't understand bullet jumping great, so he has trouble chasing you if you use it. His abilities are older and he understands countering older abilities better. He tends to focus on one target and doesn't try particularly hard to evade; he slows down when he's trying to shoot his bow.
Some maps have hazards he can be lured into to slow him down (ice patches in the void, for example). Also don't forget to get to choose where the fight happens. At that point just scan the room until you see him start to appear, usually looks like a small dark cloud with him in the kneeling position.Once he appears you can actually put a Waypoint (press G) on his location to mark him which makes him much easier to track. As long as your moving either strafing or doing parkour he will usually have a tough time hitting you. That being said, many people die when they encounter the stalker the first few times.It does get a lot easier later on, and if you're on a team and this happens just let the rest of your team know 'stalker on me' and stay put until he appears. If you're moving from room to room as he spawns he will be a lot harder to anticipate.
When you first start playing this game, the stalker is the next thing to impossible to beat. A young tenno simply doesn't have the tools and support to pull it off on their own.However, that's why you have friends. The stalker doesn't really move all that quickly and his aim is deliberate so getting a waypoint on him isn't difficult. Then you can run around in circles screaming and your teammates should be able to handle him-providing they aren't all new as well.The actual mechanics of a showdown with him are a bit different. Firstly, get some cover. You need hard cover to interpose between you and him.
Then find him. You need to know where he's coming from.

He's slow to aim Dread, so shoot him in the head, then duck into cover. Rinse, repeat. That's how you kill him. Of course, if he goes channeling his inner Nyx on you, run like hell, but then take new cover and start the process over.All you really need to do is not panic and have some substantial weapons to burn him down.
Obviously, the longer the fight goes on the higher the risk. End it as quickly as you can.
I actually agree with those saying to run around and scream a lot, lol. Seriously, there is no 'try to kill the Stalker' when you are low level and don't have the huge benefits of some of the better mods maxed out and higher end weapons. You have to be able to deal a lot of damage in a short period of time and also be able to survive a couple good hits. So if your frame is a bit squishy, or your weapons not near the top tier, and the Stalker comes after you specifically, you are much better off to just keep moving as erratically as possible while using the cover in the room to avoid getting hit. Keeping objects between you and him will block a lot of his shots and staying moving will keep him from warping around behind you and one-shot'ing you.
The idea is to buy as much time as you can to allow your squadmates to take him down for you. Many times he will almost completely ignore other players and focus on his target so they can have opportunities to damage him that the main target will not. Research your frames to make sure you know which of your abilities can damage him or help out in the fight and which ones are utterly useless or not viable. Don't waste time and energy with abilities that will only tick him off and cause him to start using abilities on you. In my experience, if your squad only attacks with weapons, he will do the same. Start using abilities and he will follow suit.
Keep moving, use the terrain and survive.Once you get experience, more mods, more ranks, formas, potatoes, etc, etc then you can start taking on the Stalker head-on. I know a lot of top end players say the Stalker needs a buff and he's too easy but honestly, he is a terror when you are low level and the first time you beat him is like winning the lottery. Newly born with mother of the bride. Once you are able to take him down reliably, it's also a good feeling and you stop to fear him but that also gets old after a while. But at your level, just taking him down is a pretty sweet accomplishment.
How you fight him will depend a lot on the frame and weapons you are using. A friend of mine likes to take him head-on with his Rhino Prime and Galatine. I can do that with my RP and Scindo Prime but I much prefer to just shoot him the face a couple times with my Vaykor Hek, If you don't have a frame with a lot of durability, you will probably want to sort of mix the low level 'run around and scream' method with the 'shoot him in the face' method.
Keep moving, take quick, accurate shots and wear him down while doing the most damage you possibly can. A lot of this is researching your frames, knowing their pros and cons, researching your weapons and what weapons you chose in the future, as well as knowing how, what, when and where the Stalker does what he does. Eventually you will get to the point where you will no longer fear him and probably start looking forward to killing him in hopes of him dropping either the Hate or Despair blueprints but for now I would enjoy the fear and relish the first time you are able to take him down solo, lol. If you can catch him spawning then stand a little outside of melee range, wait till he stands, and unload. If that isn't enough then you have a fight on your hands.Try to circle strafe him and roll if something nasty comes your way. If you have to retreat to cover never run away in a straight line. He has a powerful slash dash.If he adopts a meditation pose and surrounds himself with a bubble, stop attacking and back away until he is done.Always stay in motion.

He's agile and changes up his strategy very quickly while being able to do lethal damage that could kill me quickly (Most specifically Shurikens). The way to beat Stalker is to counter his powers as he changes. Make sure to find a suitable area with pillars or boxes as cover when you start receiving his threats and that the enemies in the current area are dealt with.Now, when you start out go for basic run and gun shooting, taking pop shots at him behind your cover only to dip back when your shields fail so they can regenerate, his bow isn't too hard to avoid however his shurikens hurt and at quite a fast rate. When he disappears to use smoke bomb ie goes invisible I would advise switching to melee coupled with Life Strike to get dps and sustain on him because he will come in close to hack at you and you might aswell out sustain him here.

Now the big one to watch out for is when he switches to absorb - get away as fast and far as you can because if you've hit him even once while he's in his green bubble state you will be in for some hurt as he will capitalize. His AI is more advanced than most mobs. He'll remove buffs/toggles/special modes with Dispel, so don't count on anything but evasion.The first thing is the shock screens he gives you before he appears, to disorient you. Need to not take these seriously.Once he appears, he likes to use Smokescreen (turn invisible). I haven't seen him chain this so you can just evade wildly until the duration expires. My best defense against this has been to just keep moving. If you're on a team let other squaddies attack him (he'll mostly ignore people he's not targetting).

What I noticed is that when he goes invisible he switches to melee so I recommend you move around, he will eventually show his ugly mug. One mistake I see a lot of players make is emptily magazines into his absorb, do not do that. As soon as he jumps into that red energy ball get as much distance from him as possible because the detonation radius will kill you and more bullets you put into it the more damage it will do when he detonates it.

The key thing is to be mobile. He'll throw the disco ball thing and that does some pretty solid damage, but you also have to watch out because it moves around the room shooting those beams. Then he has the waves, which you just have to jump over, really.My strategy is just to take one or two shots at him when he throws the disco ball, jump away and whenever I get a free shot I'll take another one, jumping away from any danger afterwards. Never stop moving and as soon as you realize the Stalker is coming, get to an open spaced room as quickly as possible.
I look for areas with at least one long area so I can shoot him easily as he's running in a straight line towards me (avoid close quarters type areas).
